Expecting the Best--Informed Childbirth Classes
Designed with input from healthcare providers, birth attendants, and consumers, this six-week, highly participatory program emphasizes informed decision-making and provides intensive preparation for couples who anticipate a low intervention birth.

Conscious Birthing, A Half-day Workshop for Couples
Deepen your relationship through yoga, mindfulness practice, and focused inquiry. In a supportive environment, you'll practice safe and effective labor positions and pain-coping methods. Partners will learn comfort techniques to support pregnant and laboring women.

   for the women of the greater Richmond VA areas, accepting
   24 to 48 home birth clients per year (2 to 4 clients/month).
   We serve a 90-mile radius including Petersburg/Colonial Height,
   Fredericksburg, Williamsburg, S.E. Charlottesville, Louisa, Amelia,

  Kim Mosny, CPM, LM (Va) is the Senior Midwife and
   Owner of Home Birth Midwifery Service,  having been "gifted with"
   the practice by her primary mentor, Margie McSweeney, RN/CPM.



Kim began Primary practice in 1996 after a three-year apprenticeship
(1993-96) with midwives: Margie McSweeney and Martha McBride.

She is an apprentice-trained Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credentialed by the
North American Registry of Midwives (NARM).
Kim is a member of NARM’s Statistics Committee.
